Tagcom Poster + Cosplay Rules

1. Registration begins at 10:00am and closes at 1:00pm.
 2. The participants must be in costume upon registration. To avoid inconvenience, it is encouraged that participants arrive at the venue in costume.
 3. The participants must have the following upon registration:
 <dd>a. Three (3) copies of full body picture of the character.
 b. Registration forms. The participant should fill-out three (3) copies of the registration form provided at the event itself. It will be submitted upon registration together with the full body picture of the character.</dd>
 4. Groups have a minimum of three (3) and a maximum of fifteen (15) members. Three (3) points will be deducted from the final score of the group for every excess member. (Couples/pairs will have to register as individual cosplayers, but may request, prior to catwalk, to share their stage time.)
 5. All registered cosplayers, even those who are part of a Group, are individually qualified for the People’s Choice Award. All people present at the event, including cosplayers, may vote for their favourite cosplayer at the registration table from 1pm-6pm. One vote per person.
 6. The Cosplay Catwalk will be from 3pm-6pm. Individual cosplayers are given a maximum of two (2) minutes stage time. Group cosplayers are given six (6) minutes stage time to perform their skit. Failure to comply with the time limit will result to the disqualification of the cosplayer or the group from the competition.
 7. Cosplayers will be judged during the Cosplay Catwalk, from which the Best Male, Best Female, and Best Group Cosplay will be chosen.
 8. The winner of the Cosplay competition (excluding Audience Choice) will be decided by the judges in terms of these criteria:
 <dd>a. Characterization – the cosplayer’s resemblance to the reference character in terms of personality and behaviour.
 b. Costume and Craftsmanship – resemblance of the costume to that of the reference character. Quality of the costume and visual appeal.
 c. Overall Appeal- innovativeness, creativity, and audience appeal. This including the catwalk presentation for individual cosplayers.
 d. Skit (for Group Cosplay)-creativity and appeal of catwalk presentation.</dd>
Criteria Breakdown
Individual Cosplay:
Characterization=35%
Costume =35%
Overall Appeal=30%

Group Cosplay:
Characterization =30%
Costume Accuracy=30%
Overall Appeal=25%
Performance/Skit=15%

Prizes:
Best Male = P4000 cash and TAGCOM Trophy
Best Female = P4000 cash and TAGCOM Trophy
People's Choice = P4000 cash and TAGCOM Trophy
Best Group = P8000 cash and TAGCOM Trophy</lj-cut>

GAKUENSAI FAIR '07 Audience Choice Award for Group Cosplay

UP AME wishes to apologize for the delay in the announcement of the Audience Choice Award for Group Cosplay in the Gakuensai Fair Cosplay Competition. Rest assured that we have already contacted the winners to pick up their prizes at the AME tambayan.

Here are the winners of the AME Gakuensai Fair's Cosplay Competition!

Individual Cosplay:

Statement: IKALAT SA FORUMS/SITES, PLEASE

GUYS! Mag-last minute plugging po tayong lahat sa lahat ng online forums/sites na alam natin. With that, please include the following statement:

UP AME would like to issue the following statement: Under no circumstances (except for extreme conditions) would UP AME cancel or postpone the GAKUENSAI Fair slated for NOVEMBER 24, 2007 at the UP Diliman Bahay ng Alumni, 1-10 pm. Rest assured that UP AME is taking great measures to ensure the continuation of the fair on said date.

DON'T FORGET THESE TEMPLATES WHEN YOU ISSUE THE STATEMENT. Please refer to this post for the poster templates.

UP AME Online Database Now Up

All current members of UP AME are encouraged to go and put your contact information in the Members Database found in the up_ame groups. This would be helpful updating contact information and might be handy for you when you are finding contact details while browsing the net. It could also serve as an updated directory because people could modify their respective contact details whenever necessary.

Merch Booth Moved to Nov. 27-30

The U.P. AME Merchandise Booth at the AS Walk has been moved to November 27-30.

Fanart Contest submissions are hence to be dropped off at the UP AME tambayan (CAL Tambayan Complex, behind Faculty Center parking lot, UP Diliman). Deadline is still on the 24th.

Fan Art Contest

People!! UP AME is now accepting entries for the fanart contest! You can drop by your works at the tambayan any time between 8-5, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

UP AME is going to have a Merchandise Booth from November 20-24 at the AS Walk. You can also submit your entries there. Remember, the deadline for submitting fanart entries would be on the last day of the booth, on the 24th.
